Today I wanted to pause my battery discharge due to weather and save its capacity for the flux peak period. I followed instructions given me on the facebook group by Paul.
When I attempted it at 7.30 this morning I thought I had achived it only to find at 10.30 it is still discharging and supplying my house. the cloud portal (I use firefox but edge tried) it reports it has carried out the change but then does not change anything.
Looking at the raw number history output I dont think it is sending the correct setting to the inverter.
Can you help/confirm I will include 2 snips if this helps and I can do it.

Pete.

I also think the charging has stopped too as now at 12.00 with slight sun the battery is not charging it is exporting to the cloud.

I have the same problem. Worked okay before the firmware upgrade.

Squid I don't think anyone is listening but it is nice to know it is not just me.

Hi - ended up calling the help desk. I was running inverter firmware version 393 which apparently is a test version. The correct inverter version is 307. Will see tonight if the pause discharge function works now that the correct firmware has been loaded.

I am testing it again tonight and will let you know if it works. I have had it working before so it does work (before upgrade to 393).

Thanks Daveb01 for your helpful link. I had previously used it to check settings.
I need to have a play around. Last night I set the pause to run from 2330 to 0530 and a charge from 0230 to 0530. Charge worked the pause failed.

When I got up I ran a timed pause from 0605 - 0615 and that worked. I am going to experiment with the pause without a charge and with a charge over part of the same period as well as pausing before midnight and from midnight and will report back if it does not work as programmed.

For those that are interested -
I have a Gen 3 hybrid Inverter and was moved from the factory firmware 393 to 307 due to the problem that the timed discharge pause schedule that I wanted to set up on the portal did not work. Pretty much everything else worked.

The good news is that the time pause does now work to a degree but only if the times are set within the same day. Crossing midnight say to fit in with Intel Octopus 2330-0530 causes the pause to fail for some reason.

What is of more concern is that the quick setting pause function from the app now does not work and even when you throttle back the charging speed to 0% the battery still charges at 500w+.

I raised this with GE and the response was surprise as they have very little problem with 307 and the gem comment was that they cannot guarantee functionality for everyone - maybe they should consider adding that to their marketing material?

The response has been poor and in fact I have asked to be put back on 393. I can work around the problem with pausing the discharge by having a timed charge but throttling back the charge rate.

Not a great experience and clearly not enough testing of the software.

I think the issue now is (& I feel for support really) there has been soooo many firmware versions across Gen's and inside each gens that it is near impossible to work out which firmware supports what anymore. I know I gave up, i think @DD tried as well.)
I did ask for a matrix from GE but got no response.
It probably won't go down well but I think at some point everyone will need bringing up to the "one true Firmware" for whichever Gen you have. The rest discontinued.

As this goes on with more and more products (AIO, new 3 Phase inverter) It's going to be absolute chaos to maintain the app & portal for both new and legacy. The app is already falling behind as it is. (No idea as to what if any progress has been made on the new app, it was briefly touted way back in March 2023....)

You make entirely valid points hoggy - I get that impression as well.

GE have just comeback to me and have done something their end. I will see if that changes anything and report back - no improvement and I have again asked to go back to 393.

I was upgraded from 393 to 307 in December. I prefer 307 because 393 caused my battery to cycle between 100 and 95% but 307 lets it idle at 100% until it is needed.

Yes the quick pause no longer works in the app but I can do a timed pause on the web portal.

I am now considering staying on 307 but relieved not just me who has the quick setting pause issue.
You can set a timed charge over midnight but not a timed pause discharge!?

I don't know as I don't have a need to do anything over midnight.
