has anyone else also had problems with their app recently? the suggested fix is to delete all data frm app .. but mine won't let me do that .. anyone else solved the problem ? thanks
givenergy app not reading locally
yes been playing up for a week or so , i restart app , sometimes that gets it to wok , others not
thanks for the update ... wonder when it will get fixed ?
i just tried this , from the advice on known issues via the portal
Users can resolve the issue by clearing the app cache which can be done via Settings > Preferences > View Advanced Options > Clear App Data > Delete All Data. Please be aware that this will cause all sessions on the device to be logged out.
but its stil the same
I found that if you go into the local monitoring settings and set inverter search to manual and scan for inverter. Then once the scanned IP address is used (press on this to select it) it works well and consistently. The preset IP address 192.168.1.1 was incorrect in my case.

hi ... tried that ... and showing as "offline" >.
i think its broken at givenergy side ... and i'm finding it hard getting info from them :-(

tks fr the reply /... likewise .. think there is stll a problem at source

davidS if it's saying offline is the data uploading to the portal? If not, it could point to an issue with the connection between the inverter and your router.

hi
definitely working thru portal .. ie yes uploading to the portal ..
i think its a problm with the app as nothing changed and yet it has stopped working locally
tks again

davidS strange. Have you fully uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it? Are you on iPhone and need to enable the location permissions?
App has been a disaster since the last update. Clearing the app data doesn't help me at all, nor does deleting and reinstalling. Home dashboard connects locally and works fine – it's everything else that's broken.

wonder if they are going to amend anything .. .?
mine works thru portal but not locally ...
Cdent
yes on an iphone ... have deleted and reinstalled ..
enable location permissions ? not entirely sure what u mean here ?
many thanks

davidS apparently on iPhone it asks for location permissions and without this it won't connect to local. Some people say it doesn't ask for the permission so need to manually enable it. See here:
anthonypar I had this issue. The fix that worked for me was in in the post https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/3361-dont-upgrade-the-ge-app/53
The IP address had defaulted to 192.168.1.1 I had to find the correct IP address (.134) in the router and enter this in the app local monitoring settings.
tks fr help .. have now manually added the correct IP address and all appears to be working .....
