Recently upgrade my existing Mesh setup to a new a WIFI6 enabled Mesh. New system supports 2.4Ghz and all the older technologies, however, my Inverter will not connect. It sees the new network, I enter the password and reboot, but it doesn't connect. When I go back into the AP of the inverter as far as its concerned its connected to the new network (but it isn't!)
Any ideas ?
Hemant plenty of topics on here about this, you may need to switch off 5Ghz/band steering/smart connect to be able to connect. Might help to split to 2.4/5Ghz bands onto separate SSIDs.
Yeah, I have a separate 2.4Ghz network just for IOT devices but I will look again. Cheers
I'm using a Google mesh. Key thing I did was when configuring the WiFi dongles was to enter the MAC address of the strongest AP, which locks the dongle to the particular AP which seemed to work.
I still periodically loose connectivity every few days/weeks which I rectify with a AIO reboot (restarting the WiFi dongles does diddly squat) I do have 2.4 GHz range extender that I might try to see if that resolves the issue.
The fact that the All in one requires a reboot to re-establish connectivity, seems to indicate there is a battery management software improvement required.

I have the Deco XE75 and the only way I can get it to work is to have an open network. No combo of security options will work, but thats only with the inverter, everything else is fine. Thankfully the Deco allows a separate IOT SSID, which I have added the inverter too and nothing else.
Its not ideal, but for now, allows me to remove the old mesh
I also have issues. I have the 3.6 hybrid inverter, gen 3 - so the latest one with built in wi-fi. However, it seems GivEnergy really seem to have skimped on the wifi chipset, it doesn't support channels 12 and 13 and won't connect to my latest router (even if its using a channel from the 1-11 range), I have to leave an older wifi extender connected to my network as it will only connect to that. Considering how reliant the solution is on internet access, seems a bit short-sighted to me.
Reading these posts, I should change my name to dinosaur. I have 3.6 hybrid inverter gen2 I think the dongal is attached beneath, its lost wifi connection as the extender I had it piggy backed on has failed.. is it possible to get a GPS dongal fitted or are dongals only wifi enabled
