Hi all,
I'm new here and just getting to find my way around all the settings. I've just moved across to Cosy Octopus (as I have ASHP and batteries) which offers 2 cheap periods during the day — but I can only see space for 1 forced charge in the Givenergy battery settings?
Is there a way around this to add a second?
Or is there a way to automate this by syncing my tariff with the inverter?
Am I missing something? Seems a really basic oversight?
Thanks in advance!

Force charging battery twice? (for Cosy Octopus)
Please do a search on this forum first as you will find most of the answers.
What kit have you got.
There is only a single timed charge slot on most inverters.
Take a look at Octo R&D labs scheduler. You can have as many as you like. You will need to register and it usually takes 24-48 hrs for all the menu stuff to appear.
Go to Home Assistant and do whatever you want. Your server on your network.

Thanks for this Steve.
I have a Givenergy inverter, PV and Givenergy batteries.
I hadn't heard of Octopus R&D labs but have signed up now so will hopefully find my way around that.
I've heard a lot about Home Assistant, but seems very daunting as I'm not very technical!
Thanks for all the links. Hopefully I'll figure it all out!

Good luck.
I thought HA would be hard but I 'acquired' a Pi from my son and just followed the youtube tutorials and it was all done in less than half a day
Hi Steve,
Just an update to say the Octopus R&D labs thing worked perfectly.
Didn't even know it existed — so thanks for pointing me in the right direction...

Simeon.
That is good.
I used R&D for a few months but when wanted to force export I could not get Eco to return after, so I switched to HA.
I also had a couple of times when either the Octo servers did not issue the charge command and/or GivEnergy server did not pass on, or internet was bad so that also drove the HA switch.
My server (Pi) on my network.
Good luck
Steve
