Since the latest firmware upgrade, I can't get close to a full charge as the charge rate drops to 577w after around 55% to 62% mark then crawls for the remainder of the charge window. I'm guessing this is SoC related but I can't figure out how to clear the problem.
I should also say that the discharge behaviour during the day is very erratic, often only discharging 104w regardless of demand.
Is the unit outside?
Was there a successful calibration cycle after the upgrade?

shawnclifton One of the config parameters controls the max discharge rate. Have you tried resetting all parameters to their defaults? There's a button somewhere on the portal to do that.
I think the portal remote-control section may show the value it last sent, rather than what's actually on the device - there's buttons to force it to fetch and display the live value from the inverter. Or if you use android, there's a free unofficial app which shows all sorts of interesting params directly from the inverter.

shawnclifton Ah, you have two batteries. That presumably makes things a bit more complicated. (I only have the one.) I guess it would be unfortunate if only one had updated correctly...
I have no idea if this is possible, but can you somehow disable one battery at a time, and see how the system behaves? [Sort of thing I'd try, just to see what happens...]

When I asked GE about adding another battery they said.
Make sure both are on 3012. (updated to 3015 now)
Make sure both at same voltage.
Connect and call them to run calibration.
Have yours got same firmware?

shawnclifton Speculatng wildly, but that sounds like the sort of thing that might happen if one battery was close to max voltage, and so was throttling the charging rate. As above, I have no idea how the inverter handles multiple batteries, but I assume it tries to operate them in parallel, rather than sequentially (filling or emptying one before switching to the other).
Called Tech Support - Firmware only went onto one battery, so the other one was throttling the charge rate above 60%. Now charging at full rate (with everything crossed). Thanks all !
