GivEnergy friends we were with EON before our installation and have spectacularly failed to inform them we have your excellent system installed. However for our usage and tariff Octopus is way more expensive and of course this time of year we have no energy to export but still annoying so any ideas on how to get their attention e.g. carrier pigeon, instead of e-mail

Just wondering, but why do you need to tell EON you have had a battery system installed?

good question as I am not sure they will they pay me if I export? however their rates are competitive and we are like the traditional economy 7 tariff to charge our batteries in winter

deepfat You can join any companies SEG system for export, it does not have to be with the company your incoming electric comes from. It does take a bit of time to sort out, but I have been told recently they will back date any payments from the data in your smart meter. So for me I stopped getting Octopus Agile Outgoing payments October 21st when I switched to Go. I am now doing the application for SEG 3p fixed still with Octopus and they will backdate payments to October 22nd.
