I just received my January bill covering 29th Dec to 28th jan. according to Octopus I used 1203.5Wh total import (1176kWh off peak, 27.5kWh peak) with an average price of 7.65p/kWh. £92.02. Standing charge and VAT bring this is £111.49 for the period. I exported 20.09kwh.

Now I have a plant system, routed through a single EM115. (Used to be two but installers changed based on GIv recommendations at. The time). According to a generated report for the same period, I only imported 1145kWH and exported 8kWh? Claims my cost would be average of 11p/kWh. And £136? My tariffs are correct in the system.

I know some of the data because it’s a plant area pointless but the CT is a direct measure so shouldn’t be be too bad, yet I’m 58.7kWh out.

I appreciate that CT are not that accurate But surely I shouldn’t be out by that far? Thoughts to address this appreciated. (And yes CT is in correct Place before anyone asks)

Smk82 See also https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/3916-monthly-report-battery-losses/5 - the report may not be using the meter data.
Do you get the same discrepency if you look at the meter data ?

Looking at my own system, for January, the report says I imported 287kWh, but the meter data says 311. Exports much up quite well: 131 vs 132.

The Octopus app reports 314kWh import, 133kWh export.

The EM115 isn't accurate. Ours is out by about 10-15% compared to both the smart meter and the CERTIFIED meter the installers fitted because the EM115 isn't accurate enough to record export. Current clamp is fine, EM115 is just cheap junk is all.

Vestas oh I’m not expecting accuracy to the point of 0.1kwh agreement.
