I had my installation at the end of March last year and it has been working OK since but I have just tried to look at my dashboard and got a strange message coming up instead, shown below
**Status
Commissioning Status (Updated 311 day(s) ago)
Late
This commission has exceeded 30 days from deadline to complete. So, once your commission is complete, you will only be able to claim 12 year(s) warranty. If there are any queries with this please contact our support line 01377 252 874 or support@givenergy.co.uk
Current Deadline: 2023-04-30**
I will have to give them a ring tomorrow and see what is going on. The mobile App seems to be working but this means I cannot make any changes to the operational settings. I am guessing my installer has missed out on completing something. It would have been nice to have some warning this was about to happen though so I could have done something in advance.
Anyone else had this and what did you need to do to sort it out?
My system is a Hybrid 5kw and x2 5.2 batteries.

I had this too. Spoke to support this morning, apparently there was an update to the portal yesterday. This could be the cause of the message. In my case I was assured there wasn't a problem.
Good luck...
I phoned them first thing this morning around 08:30. I was told it was an implementation by Givenergy and it meant I needed to talk to my installer to complete the installation. I did that and apparently, there were a couple of photos Givenergy required of the installation that were not uploaded. The installer has done that now and I got a notification that the installation was now complete! A bit odd really since the system has been functioning since April last year! An annoying outcome though is that after the completion notice the system immediately started the calibration process.
I find this experience annoying as a customer. Why did this have to be my problem if the installer had missed something and Givenergy systems noticed why did they not just notify the installer as there is nothing I can fix myself other than be a go-between?
Also, why wait until 311 days have passed to make a song and dance about it obstructing my use of the cloud and any required adjustments to the installed system? If they want something to be completed why not warn about it a few times before the unilateral decision to shorten the warranty period as a consequence of the completion being overdue?
I am not very pleased with this attitude to their end users/customers.

killythebid Sadly, this is quite normal for GE. The kit is interesting and great when it works. But the customer experience is frustrating, to put it mildly. I found it so frustrating (i.e. banging my head against their brick wall) that I ended up just stepping away and disengaging - for my own well being. No matter how many people try to patiently explain to GE, that the customers feel neglected, nothing seems to change.
Even if someone from GE actively approached me, and asked me to explain why I am so disappointed, I know it would be a complete waste of time - so I wouldn't bother. It's a sad state of affairs, for a company which had some potential.

I’ve had this same message the other day on the web portal. When I contacted GivEnergy they said that the commissioning needed finishing, even though it’s been up and running for just over 17 months and been absolutely fine!
The installer has emailed GivEnergy about it, so should hopefully be resolved in the coming days.

jameswhit Yup, that is the same as they said to me. It turned out there were a couple of photos the installer had not uploaded to Givenergy.
