Battery Charge/Discharge settings during EPS

I am testing the WonderWatt system to charge overnight using the cheapest Agile slots using their HOLD feature to prevent battery discharge during the non-charge slots so the EV charger (which keeps charging) doesn't empty the GE battery.
The Wonderwatt hold feature is using the GE app quick button pause and play functionality which alters the Battery Charge and Discharge settings behind the scenes. Pause = set to zero. Play = restore previous values.
I am wondering what would the inverter do if there was a power cut during a hold slot?
The battery discharge setting would be zero but the power cut would cause the inverter EPS to kick in. Would the inverter then ignore the battery discharge settings because it has to use the battery to provide power to the EPS?

Only one way to find out, pull the fuse. Well, maybe not the fuse, you'll get into trouble, just switch the big red switch off!

Is it? I think I read on here that pause is actually implemented by tinkering with max charge/discharge power, and on the latest inverters, that doesn't actuallly cut power to 0. (Mine will discharge at about 300W if max discharge power is set to 0.) Just tested now to confirm.

But modern inverters have a separate timed pause feature. And you can also implement pause discharge by using one of the timed discharge slots, but setting the min SoC to 100%

Sorry, can't answer your question though. I think perhaps it would be reasonable for it to ignore all timed discharge slots during a power cut, so if pause-discharge is implemented that way, it might work "correctly". Seems less obvious that it's okay to ignore an explicit timed pause.

GivEnergy support say the Battery Discharge Power setting is the same in EPS mode as it is in GRID mode so if it has been set to 0 to pause the battery and there is a power cut, the battery won't provide power to the EPS system.
