I’m after some help with my inverter settings,
I want my inverter to send all solar to the grid, regardless of if there is a house load or my battery is not at 100% and I want my house to use only battery power and not solar unless the house load is more than the battery can supply for that given moment.
My system is a Hybrid Inverter 5.0 Gen 3 and 1 Giv-Bat 9.5 Gen 2
Aunsworth90 Not possible, I'm afraid - the inverter generates power to a single AC port which connects to both house and grid. You have no control where it goes: house wiill take what it needs, and the rest goes to the grid. When in dynamic mode, the inverter isn't sending power just to the house, it tries to generate exactly enough to match measured house demand, which means the net flow to/from the grid should be close to 0. [In fact, it can't measure house load - what it is probaby actually doing is discharging just enough to keep net grid flow to 0, which is the thing it can measure, with CT clamp.]
But I understand what you want - I want more or less the same. I charge battery with enougn to power the house for the day, regardless of solar, and I neither want nor need solar to power the house. But all I do is pause battery-charge (so that solar goes to grid during the day), and then when I have excess charge in the evening, discharge battery to grid then.
