Hi, I had Ohme pro charger installed before I had my inverter and battery installed. Is there a way to divert the excess solar to the car charger does anyone know or would I need to get the give energy ev charger? Also, not sure why the ev charger drains my battery so constantly have to change the output power setting on the inverter so it takes from the grid. Any advice will be appreciated.

Usually an ev charger will be seen by the inverter as just another house load and therefore will discharge the battery in eco mode. An inverter cannot discharge and charge at the same time, so a way to stop the battery discharging to the EV is to set to charge period for both EV and house battery the same. If you are signed up to Intelligent Octopus this could complicate matters as any additional charging hours provided outside the set hours will discharge the battery unless you stop it. The Ohme pro is not solar compatible in that it will not match its load to any solar excess that is being generated and will constantly provide a 7kw charge. A cheap way to overcome this is to plug in your granny charger on sunny days. The low 3kw load of the granny charger should mop up the excess solar without instigating much battery discharge.

SS39NX if you're on IOG, it makes more financial sense to just export excess solar (at 15p/kWh) and charge overnight (at 7.5p/kWh). Though if you are on FIT with deemed export, that changes things.
I had heard that Ohme were beta-testing detecting solar, but not sure of the current status.
If you can, arranging that the GE CT clamp doesn't see the Ohme is the simplest fix.

Not sure about the Pro version of the Ohme charger but on the older version I have you can go into the app and change your car type to "Solar" and then set a limit to the charging rate so that it's under your current export rate it will trickle charge rather than depleting your battery.

I know that's not really what you asked for but I thought it might be of some help anyway, I sometimes charge mine this way if its a sunny day and I'm not going anywhere so can just leave the car connected for a while, only problem is that if it clouds over and your solar output drops then you'll start drawing from your home battery again.

If you want to go back to regular charging just set your car type back to normal in the Ohme app again.

Same as me. I have Ohme Pro and GE solar+battery.

When I was on Octopus Flux, I had the the Ohme Pro set to charge during the overnight off peak and set the GE inverter to charge the GE battery ar the same time. Problem solved. Daytime charging I handled manually via the GE app (you can manually pause the battery while EV is charging).

Now I am on Octopus Agile and wanting to use the cheap slots, I am trying out WonerWatt which can select the cheap slots automatically for GE batery charging, and has a hold feature to prevent battery discharge (to EV) between charge slots. It doesn't interface with the Ohme though so can't turn that on and off.

Ohme Pro does recognise Agile rates but doesn't have any way to choose the cheapest slots (AFAIK) all I have managed to do is set a price cap and hope there are enough cheap slots that match.

Others on here have said Home Assistant or Octopus R&D have a way to include the Ohme Pro in the solar+battery setup so but I haven't tried those.
