I upgraded the firmware on my givEnergy 5 kW hybrid inverter and 9.5 kWh battery this morning to D0.307-A0.307 and 3015. The error "Electricity Meter Com Fail" showed immediately. I've tried restarting the inverter twice but it is still in error. The GivEnergy app is showing the wrong wattage for PV, home consumption and grid. Any suggestions?

tsbh1082 Is the EM115 meter in your consumer box (fusebox) working?

If it seems OK then the cable back to the inverter might be the problem, but really if you've powered the inverter/battery down and its the same when you power up all you can really do is call the installer.

Mine did that, I tried to turn the 9.5 battery on/off with the button on the side but it would not work. I phoned GivEnergy support and they talked me through turning ALL breakers to off and taking front cover off and pulling a connector off the internal board. This seemed to restart everything and installed a stalled update and all been working since. On/off switch works correctly now.

Thanks. I've checked the EM115 meter. It looks like the EM115 meter is working.
As well as trying restarting the inverter from the portal, I've also powered the inverter and battery down, waited 5 minutes and then powered back up. Same 'Electricity Meter Com Fail' error.
I will try to contact the installer.

Are the EM115 cables plugged into the right port on the inverter. Easy to get them mixed up

SteveCook I haven't changed the cables. It had been working fine since installation 09/01/2024. I only saw the 'Electricity Meter Com Fail' error after the firmware update.
I've called GivEnergy and they have fixed the 'Electricity Meter Com Fail' error by installing the next firmware version. They are still looking into some possibly related low voltage battery notifications.

That'll be because the battery was on v3013 firmware most likely. You'll probably get overvoltage notifications on v3015.
