Just updated firmware on the inverter and batteries, apparently successfully. The battery cal start message came through about 30 minutes ago but the expected discharge hasn't started. The batteries are showing in the app and no error lights but they are not exporting and the house is on grid. How long after the successful firmware update before the battery calibration starts please? Or is it borked....again. Thanks
How long after firmware update before battery cal starts?
Was it definitely an inverter firmware upgrade, battery or both? I think it only needs to do a recalibration if you upgrade the BMS software.
But running off grid doesn’t sound right. Might be worth manually setting the inverter off Eco then back to Eco in case its forgotten what mode its in.
The recalibration starts immediately in my experience
geoffreycoan I finally found the issue in that the breaker on the primary had tripped and hence the calibration couldn't start. Sounds a bit daft on my part but what was confusing is that the status lights on the battery are still active even with the breaker off. Doh! Lesson learned. The other confusing thing is that the cal only ran for about 3 hours, didn't fully empty or refill the batteries but still reported successfully completed. The cell voltages all look spot on so it definitely did something. Maybe it's a new calibration process or maybe one I never understood anyway. I'll be monitoring closely and also trying to find why that breaker tripped - never happened before. I suspect it may have coincided with testing a Zappi bump charge but can't be certain. Technology is great.... until it goes wrong!
