is there a default password for your inverter ?

i've changed my router and don't know the password . is there a default i could try . tried serial number and address of install but cant log in

Try dongle serial if not inverter serial.

Also default password and reset procedure is on the pdf - search GivEnergy kb dongle in google.

there's no dongle that i can see on the gen 3 its all covered at the bottom of the inverter.

Assuming you know the inverters IP address type that into your browser you should be asked to type in an user name and password. They are both "admin" by default.

On accepting the password you will be presented with a menu and by selecting AP settings you will see your inverters security details including the password.

12GibbesonStreet Either via your router (type in 192.1.68.1.254 in your browser) or if you look in the Givenergy App and click on the 3 stripes in the top left and then go to settings you will see local settings. In There it should show the IP address the app uses for the inverter.

Yikes! I've been unable to get in via wireless dongle - none of the serial numbers seemed to work. (Didn't need to, but figured I ought to be able to, just in case.)

But having got in through this route, I can now see that the AP password was set to one of the "never use this" sort of dumb passwords.

DD might have been here or on Facebook but even this week there was someone who'd got an install along with a bunch of neighbours (must have been some community package deal or soemthing) long story short - installers left default / out the box security and so each neighbour could log in to each others inverter and see their WiFi passwords....
