BMS Over Voltage notifications

I am getting regular BMS Over Voltage notifications. Can anyone advise? Is this something I should do something about? It does not seem to effect anything so could it be a false alarm or comm's error?

I Get at least one a day when the sun is out in the middle of the afternoon. The last two I have had: 13:05:24 16:03:35 and clears ~ 5 min's later 16:08:43. and 12:34:55 15:34:55 and clears 15:40:02. When looking at the charge voltages the alarm starts V55.24 and V56.01 respectively and clears 55.54v and 54.94v. I note The Dragon's comment of April 25 2022. I also see my events say 208 W exactly is being pulled when this happens. On each occasion it appears the battery is fully charged before the event.

What gen inverter do you have? Also what size battery is this happening to?

Pete G Have a look at other posts in this forum. If you are on BMS 3015 then they do tend to generate over voltage errors

9.6kWh v2 batt 3015 I was getting BMS Over Voltage notifications once every few days in the afternoon when SOC reached 100%. Last 2 weeks none, then 1 today 14:00:01 55.67V cleared
14:01:40 55.82V. Every few days I have been discharging to grid so SOC reaches 4% for a few hours which does seem to help. Note there are 16 voltage monitors in BMS so it could be an individual sensor exceeding 3.6V (I think it is set at) not just the total exceeding 57V (if that is what it is set at). See screenshot captured whilst still at 100% but 90 mins later.

geoffreycoan Thanks Geoff, I did think I had looked at other posts but I will look again. I am on BMS 3015 so I take it I should not worry. Although, I think this has been doing it since install last year when I was on BMS 3013 or 3012.

TimHutchings Hi Tim, I should have put more detail. My inverter is a GIV-HY3.6 on software D0.307-A0.307 and I have the 102 Ah | 5.22 kWh | (1 Pack) using BMS 3015

EricIoW Thanks it's good to see your screen grab. I have the 5.2 battery but I will look at the voltages.

Pete G As others have said, it seems 3015 battery firmware is to blame and GE are aware. At some point I'm sure they'll release another update to solve the issue. Having just updated my gen 1 inverter firmware, it does seem to have stopped the problem by slowing down the charge in the last 10% in steps, then stopping the battery fully charging and keeping it just under 100%, though SOC does show 100%.
