AC3.0 or HY3.6 ?

I have just had a battery installed with an AC3.0 inverter. I thought I was getting a Hybrid 3.6 inverter.
I dont have PV yet - will the Hybrid 3.6 Inverter work without PV ?

GusTheSadGeek if you mean that it can charge the battery in a predefined period and then discharge at a rate to reduce import, yes.
I have the AC inverter as I already had PV. For you it will be settings and roundabouts - you can add an AC coupled PV system later with its own inverter and get a better peak output or replace with the more expensive hybrid with a lower combined PV+battery output and possibly.
