When Idle ? (dual inverters)

On my dual 5.0 hybrid inverter set-up I see one pair of batteries on one inverter at idle when full; Whilst the other inverter’s pair discharges at 50w or sometimes it is charging or discharging at 200w. Rarely or ever (IIRC) have I seen both at idle together. And it only ever seems to be the same inverter that goes idle whilst the other trickles out 50-200w. Or is charging at 200w.

This is new behaviour for me, as before neither ever idled (long story). Is this the correct behaviour or should they both go idle at the same time?

Anyone else with dual inverters see the same? I’m just trying to establish if this is normal. I’m not worried about the 50w or so. It’s just the one not going into idle and having its own “me time” that is of possible concern.

Pete UK If you have dual inverters they are not aware of each other and so don’t always respond to house load consistently, resulting in slight or significant cross charging.

I have two Gen 1 hybrids on firmware 191/193 and when one isn’t full I get a gentle cross charge from inverter 1 to 2. The only time they are both completely idle is when there’s solar being generated and the batteries on each are completely full. Otherwise I do see small bits of activity

To clarify; that is to say when “all are full” both sets (all 4 batteries) are full. Only one pair seems to idle.

-so like now, I’m generating 4.5kW of solar. One inverter pair is idle. One is discharging at 50w.

Is that normal for Hybrid Gen3 ?
