I have a gen 1 hybrid inverter. Try as I might, I can’t find a way of charging the inverter battery. I have tried eco mode, timed charge mode and various other settings. I have also deleted and reinstalled the app as well as resetting the inverter to default settings. None of these have worked. What am I missing?!! Thanks
Nick B Is this a new install, or is this something you've had for a while but has suddenly changed behaviour, or has it never worked ?
Do you want to charge from the grid, or charge from solar ?
What size is the battery, and how full is it currently ?
What firmware is it running ? (You can get this from the 'software' page on the portal.)
One possibility is that the charging power has been reduced, perhaps by using the 'pause' button on the app ?
DD This is a reinstall of a fully working system. The inverter previously used to charge from solar and from the grid.
I want to charge from solar at the moment as generating more than I am using. Battery size is 5Kwh.
Firmware is DO.450-AO451
Cannot see that I have paused the charging on the app.

Nick B During the day, what do you see in the app in terms of energy flow, do you see the solar being generated and all being exported?
Similarly in the portal, when you look at the meter data what do you see, PV today going up, export today going up, battery remaining the same?
What is the battery soc reported as currently?
Any notifications in the portal?
Trying to work out where the problem lies. Potentially the inverter has stopped talking to the battery
To confirm the charge rate is OK, go into the app, battery details and check the charge rate is set to maximum. Maybe reduce it then increase it again as changing the value will force it to be rewritten to the inverter
