Hi Everyone, just had solar, battery and inverter installed.
3.6kWh Gen 3, 9.6kWh battery, 8 x 440W panels, set to 'Eco' mode.
Since then I've been monitoring the load via the app & dashboard.
It seems at the begining and end of each day, we experience a high load (7kw) for an extended period of time, see graphs. We don't have anything that would be running for that long with such a high load. Middel of the day and during the night it's really quiet.
The solar panels charge the battery up ok, it discarges to meet this high load at the same time as importing from the grid.
I checked the consumption recodes with my supplier (Octopus) and noticed that both the days since installation are roughly double the usage compared to a normal day. The only automated system we have would be the hot water boiler, it's set to come on in the morning and evening, but it's gas, only the pump and fan would consume any electricity. Plus it doesn't run for the period of time that is shown on the graph. We have an emersion heater too, but that is swithced off (at the socket), we hardly ever use it.

Any thoughs as to why this would be happening?
Graphs attached.
TIA.

Energy shows just just over 2kWh being used.

EasyTiger my initial thought was perhaps that the CT clamp has put on backwards, so that the inverter misinterprets import as export. Are you using a timed charge overnight?

I think I may have worked out the problem. There is no high load going on! At least what I can find.
the numbers in the App were really off. I know there is some load going on in the house, but not much, but it was back at 7kW again.
I decided to go and turn off the entire system, did that ok. wait for a minute, power it all back up. Looks ok, lasted about 3 minustes before the 7kW load was showing again.

Decided to flip the CT clamp the other way around. Bingo!
The numbers in the App now make sense.
Turned the kettle on, saw the increse straight away, then back down again when it stopped.

Will Monitor for a couple of days.

DD Just did exactly that!

Seems to be giving me the right numbers now.
Not using timed charge over night, just set on 'Eco' for now, just to learn the load cycles etc.
