I'm sure I'm not the only person that likes to have a visual monitor running for their system.
I was thinking about a Raspberry Pi and a small video screen, importing data etc... then had that moment...
"I have an old phone..." dug out an old iPhone X, wiped the contents, installed with just the OS and GE App installed.

Connect the App, rotate the phone - perfect.

I have an old iPad permanently running the BBC Basic " Inverter " app. Very simple 4 page display with animated graphics that update every 10 seconds. Four pages of info that you can flick through, and the first page has the inverter control buttons and shows the current state so I can pause battery etc in almost real time.

I went iPad route as well but with home assistant as I wanted other things on the main display board so AIO API feed data is on there but as I dont have solar my AIO is touchless as such so no need for switches on AIO side.

Problem with Home Assistant is knowing when to stop 🙂

I've been so addicted to the BBC app running on an old Amazon fire tablet in the kitchen, plus @Rubikcube android app on an old phone in the living room and more recently home assistant in my office that my wife insisted on a one week detox in Italy, only this morning she caught me looking at the GE app in away mode!!!!!!

I wish I could have brought my panels and battery here with clear blue skies all day.

I think you must be "my brother from another mother"
I'm on holiday with my family in Spain and have been thinking exactly the same thing.
