Observing a variance between output watts on string 1 & string 2.
Both sets of panels (14) are on the same roof, and in the usual configuration of 7 panels on each string, where one is above the other.
The total generation is however what I'd be expecting to see on a regular sunny day like today (between 4.5 & 5 kW), am I over thinking?
Midlands_Solar The string powers (for the half a dozen that I've checked) have string 2 as 3/4 of string 1, the voltages likewise. Given you said you have 14 panels and they are in the same location and orientation I suspect what you actually have is a string of 8 and a string of 6 and not 2 lots of 7.
Phil_H ah thanks that makes sense, had assumed both strings had the equal number of panels
Midlands_Solar in fairness it's a reasonable assumption, especially if they are physically 2x7 but no problem running an 8 and 6.
