We recently had issues with our Wi-Fi, our provider attended & changed the hub as it was faulty.

To be able to use the app & get data we need to put password in, but can’t find it.

Can anyone help please, we’ve not been able to use the app for 3 weeks now.

rosslewis48 There are various threads talking about what to do when changing wifi.

Can you be a bit more specific about which password you're missing - there's usually lots of different components needing passwords. Eg the app probably wants your givenergy account password ?

What password are you looking for. If it is your GivEnergy and if you can login to your GivEnergy portal on a laptop, check in your browser settings as you should find your GivEnergy password saved there

Thank you, it’s the password to connect the inverter dongle Wi-Fi.

We called GivEnergy but all of their passwords they’ve given us don’t work.

SteveCook how do you get to the browser settings plz.

rosslewis48 Thank you, it’s the password to connect the inverter dongle Wi-Fi.

The inverter dongle should be advertising its own wifi hotspot. Is that the password you're looking for ? Unfortunately, that will have been set by your installer. Ideally they'd have told you, but my installer didn't tell me, so there's a good chance they didn't.

It might have been set to the serial number of the battery. Mine was set to either 12345678 or 123456789.

It's actually simpler to change your new router to use the same AP name and password as before - ideally your broadband provider would have done that as part of the switch, but I guess not. Do you still have the old router? Again, I'm guessing not.

DD yes that’s the one.

Installer said we changed it when he set it for us, but all our passwords we’ve tried and nothing works.

No unfortunately we have a completely new router and password etc.

Was hoping to not pay out for someone to come and reset it, but looks like we may have to grin and bear it (installer has changed company who have minimum call out charge!)

If using a Gen3, go ant buy a drum of Cat5/6 and some RJ45 plugs and a tool and use the LAN port

It's important to get the system connected to your wifi and hence the internet for control, monitoring and, most importantly, warranty purposes.
