Why am I using power from EDF?

My battery is constantly topped up from the solar system. The excess solar goes to grid (and is not insignificant). The GivEnergy app shows that I am drawing nothing from the grid. However, my EDF Energy Hub app shows me drawing power 3 to 5 kWh a day. Can anyone explain this difference? Thank you.

are you sure edf is showing power import not power export. Probably need to get onto edf about this.

Do you see any grid import in the GivEnergy portal charts?

MalcolmS what size inverter and battery do you have?

If you run an electric shower, oven or even a kettle then any of these can exceed the power output of your inverter/batteries and unfortunately you're going to start grid importing.

If you have a smart meter can you see the energy consumption through the day? Or simply take a meter reading every few hours to see what's happening
