I have a hybrid inverter 5kw gen 1 and a 9.5kw battery gen 2. Over the last 6 months the 32A MCB in the consumer unit has tripped out.
This has happened 3 times in the last year.
I just reset it and it powers up with out problem.
Does anyone know why this happens?
It failed at approx 9am with no significant load.
The system has been running since installation 20 months ago .
Any help appreciated?

Inverter MCB Tripping

I have the same battery and inverter.
On 2nd June this year, month or so after installation, the 32A breaker tripped on a short grid outage about 14:20 - I don't know if the trip happened when the grid cut off or when it was restored. It was about 5 hours before I saw the effect; the GIV portal graph shows a normal load through the period, minimal grid import (although it must have matched the load), no solar generation(?), and no battery charge or discharge - battery remaining at 100%,. 
I reset the breaker and performed an inverter restart which appeared to return things to normal. I figured that the 32A breaker probably tripped due to an inrush current transient when the grid was restored. I asked the installer to swap in a 32A breaker with a type C tripping curve to replace the original type B breaker, which they did.
No similar problems since.

Brassy, your installer was wrong to originally use a B32 breaker. It has a shorter trip time compared with a type C.
The installers training manual clearly states type C for all the inverter models.

mine tripped twice yesterday in a row, was the first time in months it happened.. had very heavy sideways rain at the same time.. i had my installers back last year and they replaced my rcbo with a higher rated one.. they also checked for water ingress on all cables etc and was nothing there..
