VLAN isolation for gen3 hybrid inverter?

I have my GivEnergy inverter on an isolated VLAN, and I wanted to still access it via local communication via the app.

Does anyone know how the app discovers the inverter? Doing packet capture when opening the app up, it looks like it's trying to run a scan of my local network for port 8899?

It'd be nice if I could just tell it where to look, as then it'd also work via my Tailscale VPN...

Oh, there is an option to specify the inverter's IP address in the Android app settings, as well as disable the LAN scan. This works.

I think you can: in settings -> local monitoring, you can turn off the search and put in an IP address.
