My shamble installer left my system unfinished and not commissioned properly.

I have 2x 5kw hybrid Inverter and 3x 9.5kw batteries. One inverter is showing red and third battery is not reading at all. I approached another Giv installer and he is saying hybrid inverter and 3kw AC couple inverter will work better to 7kwh charge/dischager.

Any help or Suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Super J what size of solar array do you have installed ?

Have you paid first installer? If not, perhaps they are within their rights to take back all the kit. Or similarly if you paid by credit card and make a claim against that.

Super J 9kW would exceed the input capacity of a single hybrid inverter, I think.

DD I guess it depends if the solar is split east / west or all on the same roof, but even if east west probably a bit over capacity for one hybrid inverter?

Is there a new model of AIO around, with built in solar support?

DD I beleive so, the AIO 2 - 6 MPPTs and I think upto 11kW continous output

The problem with multiple inverters is that they don’t know about each other and so will cross charge. Number of factors as to how fast they cross charge, but they will. There is a GivEnergy EMS box ‘coming’ that will sit as the brains across the multiple inverters, but whether the first release supports hybrids or not, not clear.

You could attach all the batteries to one hybrid and split the solar across one hybrid and an AC inverter as the new Giv installer has suggested. It would stop the cross charging. Not sure if anyone else has that configuration. You would be limited to the 3.6kWh charge/discharge rate of the hybrid inverter.

I’d say a better solution would be an AIO with a 6kWh charge/discharge rate. You can chain these together to increase your battery capacity and charge/discharge rate. There is a new AIO with built in inverter or just get a separate large solar inverter.
