I recently moved from Octopus Intelligent Flux to Intelligent Go as I added an EV to the household. The setup to Intelligent Go went through eventually but whats happened is I have lost control of the battery. It simply doesnt behave the way its instructed to ie. charge at a set time and eco mode. It seems to be on its own planet doing something or slowly discharging now whilst ignoring any of the settings. I removed the permissions I granted Octopus for the Intelligent Flux tariff, updated the firmware on the Inverter and restarted the Inverter too. So far not much has changed, the battery remains in its own world doing whatever it thinks
Battery doesnt behave as instructed

Perhaps you could give more details of what the battery actually does - while it might seem random to you, someone might recognise the behaviour. Perhaps a picture of the power graph for a day.
Is there anything in the activity log to suggest an external agent using the API? There was a post a while back detailing how to withdraw octopus's permission. Could try a reset-to-defaults just in case IF left it in a weird state.
Is your chargepoint GE, or some other brand? (Don't know if that matters, but it might.)
mikeyc I had something similar happen when I switched from IF to back to Fixed. Although the tariffs changed IF retained control of the battery. I contacted Octopus and explained. It seems there might be too separate processes - operator error?

DD Thanks I have logged into the givenergy cloud website and gone into the account to revoke access to Octopus. Still no change. What happened was I switched from IF to Intelligent Go + Outgoing fixed. At the same time I turned on my podpoint charger to use for the Car. At that point the data on the dashboard started to change and nothing seems to be meaning much. When I charge the car the givenergy data thinks its coming from the battery which doesnt make sense as the battery capacity is 5.2kwh and the charge is 20kwh.
I went to the settings to explicitly ask the Givenergy battery to charge between 02:30-05:30 but it doesnt respond. It carries on discharging.
Roy124 Thanks I called its not their problem apparently. Its to do with my settings on my Givenergy which so far does nothing. The battery simply doesnt respond to any changes even if I try to reset the inverter.

This may sound daft but you are definetly logged into your account on the portal?
It wouldn't be the first time someone has logged into the demo ones previously and not logged out of them, hence settings changes obviously don't do anything.
mikeyc first thing to do is probably try to isolate the issue by not trying to charge your car at the same time. The other thing is that the cost of running short experiments to test behaviour is minimal - no point waiting for a cheap slot to see if something works. Especially if you reduce the battery charging power. One other thing to be aware of is that the portal shows the value it last sent to the inverter, rather than what's actually there. On the remote control page, for each setting you can force it to read the value from the inverter. Alternatively you can change a value to something else, then to the value you really want, to ensure both ends are in sync. Eg turn eco mode explicitly off, then on again, to ensure that it's definitely on.
First... Does the battery discharge normally to cover consumption, or is it importing from the grid?
There are free third-party apps available for android and iOS (and indeed desktops) which connect directly to inverter without using the portal - that might be helpful too. I don't have references now (on mobile) but can dig them out later.
Maybe do a full inverter shutdown and reboot.
Turn off PV isolators. Turn off any battery breakers. Turn of battery (0n 9.5 the button high on RHS). Turn off mains breakers.
Let all LED lights etc go off. Wait 20 seconds or so.
Turn back on and see if portal shows any notifications
