received an email earlier from Octopus - one of the free electricity (for usage in excess of normal) sessions tomorrow 1-2pm.
This also popped up in the queue earlier so though I'd share - a walkthrough on setting up a HomeAssistant automation you can setup once then trigger upto a day before this/future events.

There’s also a broader solution in https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/3968-automating-octopus-power-up-events-into-predbat/ that uses REST sensors and scripts to feed Octopus free electricity and Octopus Power Up events into Home Assistant so you can use them in your automations (or fire into Predbat if you’re using that to control your battery).
It’s a good day for free electricity, poor solar forecast so at least got half a chance of being able to import some free electricity. Mind the Agile rates are hovering at only a few pence all day so Predbat was already doing a dance of charging and discharging my batteries and the free electricity means it’ll be dancing more

Then back to grey and still unfortunately.
Oven cleaned (catalytic), dishwasher cleaned, washing machine on second clean (limescale cleaner this time) after doing all the bedding, carpets still to hoover.
Free power isn't free, it generates work 🙁
