Been having an issue for over a week now, and pulling my hair out with GivEnergy support
Inverter won't change its % charge level of mains overnight - it consistently charges to 50%. I can change the time of the charge, but anything I set still only charges to 50%
On top of that, the inverter is offline for 60% to 70% of the time, so GivEnergy start going on about wifi signal strength. I get an extender that now sits 1m from the inverter (as inverter on outside wall). The strength of the INVERTER wifi signal at my PC 5m away is 58%, so now they say i should change back to main router, even though it's the INVERTER wifi that is at 58% - given that signal strength is inverse square with distance that's going to be 100% at the extender...
All this ignores that when it is online i can get commands to it that will change the time... because they also came up with some nonsense about poor comms resulting in several settings at once... and half configuration state.
The batteries charge to over 50% under solar, so it's not a fault there

Just to be clear, are you saying that it will store other values, such as 60%, but it will ignore it and charge to 50% ?
There was "known issue" that was recently fixed for AIO, and also seems to have been fixed for my gen-3 hybrid : these have multiple charging slots, and there is a now an unused charge-level register, but unfortunate the app had been configuring that one, rather than the one the inverter actually uses.
Can you check the activity log on the portal to check which register is actually getting set when you configure the charge level.
(That said, I'd have thought support would have known about this since it was quite a recent fix, so probably something else...)

DD I've changed to all sorts of values - always takes 50% (though haven't tried <50%). But I've changed times to see if commands were getting through, and the times change fine
At the same time the fault started, comms became appalling. It'll be online for 15minutes, then off for 30 - so they tried to blame it on wifi despite nothing having changed, and ignoring my ability to get timing changes through...
Okay, "register" is just the low-level way these things work. Typically a small-ish integer. The inverter is controlled by a few hundred of these registers.
On the web portal, from the inverter page, you can press the 'gears' icon in the top right. (It might be inside a menu.) That gives you a page full of low-level settings. The app/web portal settings are a sort of high level configuration, and those can map to one or more of these registers.
If you scroll down on the remote-control page, you will see 10 charging slots. (I think you have an AIO.) The app only makes the first one available to you. Each one has its own charging upper limit. Does slot #1 show a limit of 50% ?
Update - Apparently a global setting at 50% was over-riding anything I put in and was toggled "on". Given that I only use the app to set, how did that happen? And it should have been the first thing they checked - took escalation to 3rd level support to spot it.
Comms problem is still there - there is a known issue apparently with wifi boards in the two units having the same name - was told to change one, but still the dodgy comms... but the most important one is fixed.
