Hi.
I have a heat pump, solar and battery.
Changed to Cosy tariff for import and fixed for export because based on calculations this could save money compared to the Intelligent Flux tariff.
My GivEnergy battery and Inverter/GIV-AC3.6 are connected to the Octopus R&D app.
I have set up a charge and discharge time slots using the app scheduler so that the battery charges during the reduced price Cosy tariff import time slots and discharges between the slots.
The schedule looks like this
Discharge between 12:30am -4am
Charge to between 4am-7am
Discharge between 7am-1pm
Charge to between 1pm-4pm
Discharge between 4pm-7pm
Charge between 10pm and 11:30pm
The app allows for this setup and will let everyone know if it works. Don’t have high hopes since a sample charge cycle today between 1pm - 4pm ended up getting the battery discharging. No it isn’t because i specified discharge instead of charge.
Has anyone else tried to use the Octopus R&D app to do this? I could go down the road of using Home Assistant but would rather try the Octopus app first.
