Has battery export rate been (secretly) reduced by 3% (9.5’s)?

This happened today, just now, when I’m exporting to the grid. I’ve changed nothing.

Yesterday it was exporting at 8.0kW (4.0kW each inverter) today I’m exporting as usual, except I’m only managing 7.75kW. This seems to have happened today for the first time. Even after the app update a few days ago, when a lot of the useful info got taken away, all was normal at 8kW. (Even after they removed the “calculated load” toggle - still it was 8kW.

Battery temp was 21c when I started exporting. (All four are in my cellar). All four 9.5’s have been between 21c and 26c all day. So not temperature related.

I’ve also noticed in the remote control section I now have EPS toggled <ON> I don’t have an EPS and this has always been off before. Now I can’t turn it off!

Oh yeah, and also I can’t see any house load either!

I've not noticed. But the gen-3 inverters were specified as having battery interface offering 3.6kW. 4kW was an unadvertised bonus that came with a recent firmware update - that may have been a bug that they've now fixed ? (Though you're still getting more than the original specification.)

If you've got the latest App version (the one that removes the ability to actually see what your batteries are doing) then I think it also either enables or disables the "show calculated load" option that used to obscure some readings by piling system losses into the mix.
Although I can't actually see where that option toggle has gone on the latest App version?
Only a firmware change can fundamentally alter how the inverter physically operates rather than an app change.

That’s what I thought initially - but it was still showing 8kW discharge up until yesterday. Immediately after the update it was still 8kW.

Maybe it just took a few days to show up after the update. It would seem consistent with not showing the calculated load and consistent with losses.

In that case my DC—>AC losses are exactly 3% with the hybrid inverter. Also noticed the charging rate is 6,600 instead of the usual 6,900 so that would be 4.5% losses during AC—>DC charging. Maybe…?

I’ll monitor it. It does seem to actually be charging and discharging slightly slower though.

All very strange. Maybe to do with a power cut?

It was cold yesterday, thst will affect the max charge and output rates from batteries if they’re cold.

LFP suffer from cold a bit more than others. Could it be the temperatures?
