I have my battery step to charge 2-5am and then forced discharge 4-7pm
However, it is very inconsistent. Sometimes, I get a full discharge and other days, it may stop for a few minutes or hours and then restart discharging.
Currently, I have to restart the inverter, but it essentially means watching the system daily. Does anyone have any advice or understand the root cause so I can solve this problem?
You dont say what kit you have.
You dont say how you are setting up your charge and discharge slots
Are you having any connection/communication issues with the inverter/dongle?
There are some known issues with discharge slots and getting the inverter to return to Eco mode(?) after end of slot.
What are you trying to achieve and does the tariff you have make sense to do this when you factor in round trip losses?
Most likely the grid voltage is going too high. If the voltage goes above about 253V export will stop until the voltage falls.
You can monitor voltage easily with this free android app, and also check what the voltage settings are on your system.

Rubikcube looking at the overview data it isn't obviously the voltage but obviously this is only a 5 minute snapshot so may be missing a spike

I had similar issues to you with my Gen1 Hy5.0 when it was set with charge and export slots (see other threads)
Tried Octo R&D scheduler (simple but inconsistent results due to comms errors between Octo, GivEnergy and my inverter)
Went to HA and set my own automations (easy over winter as no real sun to export)
Went to Predbat over summer with lots of potential export
HA is my automations on my server(Rasp Pi) on my network
