Maybe some help required. Recently signed up to Givback/axle energy deal, which has as predicted reset all my programmed settings, and I can't revert to my original settings. So, I have attempted to enable 'eco' mode and set charge discharge times, these show as 'enabled' but drop out after a few minutes. I have subsequently cancelled Givback/Axle. any help appreciated.

Can you show log on the bottom of inverter Remote control on the website?

grahambowen I can't revert to my original settings

Which setting exactly is not being accepted or doesn't work?

I suggest using website remote control not the mobile app, for all changes, and for reading all logs.

Settings are not saved timed charge and discharge times and eco mode will not save. Access remote on website via laptop.

grahambowen What the log on the bottom of the page says? Does it register your save attempts? What about read attempts? Please share relevant screenshots.

grahambowen Hi I have just enabled charge to 1500-1600 ok for 3 minutes then disabled.

grahambowen that’s very strange, Axle should only be controlling your battery ahead of and during a DFS saving session event, and the last event was on 13th December https://www.neso.energy/data-portal/demand-flexibility/dfs_utilisation_report

You can stop them controlling your inverter by going into the account security settings in the inverter and deleting their remote access token, then they won’t be able to issue any commands to your inverter.

But I would contact them and ask why they are controlling the inverter outside of a DFS session.

Just to confirm, its definitely Axle/GivBack you signed up for not Intelligent Octopus Flux which does take control of your inverter all the time

How do I access the log at the bottom of the page. Sorry if I sound unfamiliar ,but not had to touch the system in 18 months since setup until now.

grahambowen OK, so I was already on 'Intelligent Octopus Flux' when I signed for theAxle/GivBack, is this making more sense now. Thanks

grahambowen don't think you can do both as they both control the inverter and they'll fight each other.

TX200 I think you're correct, with hindsight. I suspect the 2 sets of instructions are incompatible. I have contacted Axle and requested de-register. also I'm only on a SMETS 1 smart meter, which is a bit behind the latest spec, plus average B'band up in the High Peak, dark at mid day ! Thanks for all the comments, looks like I have a bit to learn.
Thanks

grahambowen Intelligent Octopus Flux may well not be the best tariff for you to be on for the winter, its generally best suited for summer when you are able to generate and export plenty as it has good export rates. Ordinary Flux or even Economy 7 could well be cheaper overall for you.

And as above, Givback/Axle and IOF are not going to be compatible with each other as they are both trying to control your inverter. The behaviour you are seeing of the settings reverting back is IOF I’m pretty sure.

On the website, form left hand side menu, go to My inverters -> in your main inverter (in my case, GE 13.5kWh AIO), select icon representing Remote Control. Then, on a new page, you will have dozens of settings to modify. Scroll until you reach bottom of this page. Logs section is there. You can see entire history of all changes there, reads and writes to your settings, when, and by whom, and status if it was successful or not.

Many thanks to you for your help. I have now cancelled the Axle/Givback token in my security settings, I have reset to previous charge / discharge times and they seem to be holding, so seems ok.
Thanks x

I have a 9.5kWh battery .
I use Eco7 during the 6 winter months as I get 7 hours of off peak elec to charge and run the house. Not much solar generation and any goes back to house battery so export rate not really important.
In summer I go to Flux as although off peak slot is less time, typically the battery and solar can get me through 24 hrs and any export I do at peak 16:00-19:00. Currently £900 in credit

SteveCook You should take a look at EON next drive v4. EV and/or battery storage required. 7 hours of peak at 6.7p /kWh (29.?? othertimes) and expoprt of 16.5 p/kWh. Only slight dissapointment for me is that I have to provide manual export readings as they don't read the meter - not sure why, and pay quarterly
