I am not getting a full charge to batteries on timed charge. (Over night on cheap rate. )Only reaching 80% . Have tried multiple slots with little improvement.
Due to this limitation I’m only getting about 6.7kwh from the 2 batteries during day . System less than 1 year old.
On Solar it will charge to 100% however noticed today ( rare day of sunshine) it cut out at 85% and the stated pumping onto grid.
Why ?. Has something changed?
Ianwilso check in the portal that you don’t have Enable AC Charge Upper Limit turned on and AC Charge Upper Limit % set to 80%
To be sure, try changing these to other values, send the command to the inverter, then turn the switch off and set the limit to 100% and again sends the commands to the inverter
I'm the same, battery only getting to 80%. But it's because the charge rate is being throttled to 2600W instead of the 3600W it should be. I updated the inverter firmware the other day and it has screwed everything up. (I know, if it ain't broke...) The settings are all as they were pre update but the inverter isn't behaving now.
The over night timed charge didn't in kick in last night and instead tried to charge during peak rate!!! Timer sync carried out but problem remains. I had to recycle eco mode today too as the inverter decided that today I didn't need my battery to service my load.
No idea what to do now...
buggsc if your temperature of your battery cells gets below 20 degrees then the charge rate will be throttled. See other topics on this.
Can’t really explain the other issues you are experiencing, maybe do a ‘reset to defaults’ in the portal to reconfigure your inverter back to normal settings. If this is all happening after a firmware update then I’m afraid you’ll have to contact givenergy support for them to look at it

buggsc the phone lines are closed (possibly permanently) due to high volume of support requests, you have to fill in a form on the website.
If you had your system installed reasonably recently then you might contact your installer as the installer helpline is still open
Ianwilso perhaps tell us a little more about your system. We don't know how big your batteries are, and therefore how good or bad "only 6.7kWh" is. How long is your overnight cheap rate period? Are the batteries outside, and therefore cold? What firmware revision are you using?

I have two 5.2 kw batteries. Inverter and batteries outside. Cheap rate 6.5 hours (11:30 till 6am) inverter GVHY5 and software AO 393
I disabled AC charge upper % limit and for completeness set AC charge upper % to 96% previously 41%.
Checked this morning and battery charge in slot 1 (2 hours) to 80% but slot 2 , 30 mins later for 1 hour did not charge at all . So in some ways worse . Was getting about 80% first slot and topped up to 85% 2nd slot .

With two batteries, I think there can be a problem that they must operate together, so must stop when one becomes full or empty. So if they get out of balance there can be an issue. Not sure how you resolve that.
