Just watched an EVM video on the GivEnergy channel, announcing launch of 8 and 10kW single phase hybrid inverters. These have to be paired with the high voltage stackable batteries as used with the 3-phase hybrid inverter, giving capacity of 10-80kWh (with 4 stacks of 6 batteries).
4 string inputs per inverter and some quite large DC limits on them
But still only 2 MPPT's, so pairs of strings need to be identical on an MPPT.

Vestas Not that I know of, but installing anything above 8kW in a typical domestic environment is challenging. The 8kW unit is rated at 37A, so it can be installed with a 40A MCB and 10mm cable (rated to 44A enclosed in conduit). For the 10kW, a 50A MCB is needed and 16mm cable which is much more difficult to work with.
Except that I’ve got 4 strings over 4 different orientations, so I’d need 4 MPPT’s !
Also I like the redundancy of dual inverters; if one inverter or battery pair (or one of a pair!) fails, the other half still works. So there is that. But on the negative side, still no EMS for my kit and so - cross charging needs management.
So there are pros and cons I guess.

Pete UK likewise, I'd have gone for a 10kW inverter to pair with my 10.4kW of panels rather than two 5kW hybrids.

And the battery being stackable looks much easier to upgrade, maybe we might see DIY plug in upgrades after the initial install?

wrighar I had a pair of systems installed in Oct22, 3.6K Gen 2 with 9.5K batteries. Been waiting for EMS ever since but using HA automations as interim solutions. Was going to add another 9.5K battery but instead decided to cut my loses and write off the GE kit. Going for the Solis 8Kw inverter S6-EH1P8K-L-Plus paired with a couple of Fogstar 16Kw batteries. Cost is about £6.5K which is probably around the same mark as another 9.5K GE battery +EMS (if it ever arrives which I very much doubt). Anyone got any suggestions on how to dispose of the two GE systems? Do they have any resale value or are they just junk?

GivEnergy did mention they were starting a refurbished equipment service, so might be worth contacting them to see if this does exist. Otherwise its selling on eBay and you won’t get a lot.
Your Fogstar equipment sounds a very good price, 16kW battery as well, nice

BarryForde keep us updated with how that goes, I'm probably also going to cut my losses at some point and have already started looking at the same stuff.
Batteries have some 2nd hand value, but need installers to commission, and I believe warranty is only transferable in the first 12 months, so value decreases beyond that.
I'd love a 2nd 9.5 battery, but cost is too much for the delayed benefits over the first one.
2nd hand will be about the only way I'll be able to afford one.

Do the high voltage batteries support whole house backup? Didn’t see it mentioned on the inverter spec.

[unknown] The inverters have EPS backup output terminals, 8 and 10kW output. You might struggle to run a hot tub or electric shower on that, but should be enough for most people
