Hi All
My WiFi module M2M server has started to only display in Chinese - it takes no notice when I click on the ENGLISH button - the firmware is 5.03T.05. It does work though, as in function - apparently, one watt in Chinese is the same as one watt in English!

Anyone else suffering this?
Thanks Dave...

My wifi dongle page has just now (haven't been in it for ages) defaulted to Chinese but did at least switch to English when requested via the button (it did appear to take a good 30seconds to respond to that click though)
It did then stay in English when closed & opened again but that may just be a cache thing.
5.03T.05 FW
Not sure what the downtime was yesterday but I do know all the old API's are now down as of yesterday and it stands to reason that a full separation from the old to new data collector may also have required all the dongles resetting as well - hence why there was a lot of "Why is my inverter showing offline" yesterday.

hoggy . If that is the case, why is there no entry on the server status page, or the incidents history page that last shows an entry on March 28?

Would it not be better if GivEnergy advised beforehand of updates like this, rather than the end users wasting time trying to fault find an issue that is actually a result of a maintenance update?

Maybe someone from GivEnergy can provide some information on this.

hoggy Thanks for testing Hoggy - mine has changed to English before, but it's been stuck on Chinese of for the last couple of days. I'm aware of it because I want to change the SSID - but I'll leave the change until it decides to relent and revert to English again.

Thanks again for testing it for me...

Simon_C I dunno I don’t work for them. It’s a manual entry status thing so depends if anyone can be bothered to change it!
I just know that all my old API calls have finally died at the same time everyone started posting on FB about the portal & app being weird / not showing any data / inverter connection - so that would be the final nail for all the legacy systems I guess.

The legacy API's have been slated for being depreciated for a while and Monday the confirmation that it was this week came out:

13/06/2022 - Patch Notes II
Happy Monday, everyone!

Another smaller update this week, with improvements to the commission page ensuring all battery packs are being monitored and are up-to-date, security improvements and the ability to hover over an account name or inverter serial number to see more information related to that resource.

Next week we're making some major changes to a lot of our infrastructure and completely removing our legacy APIs. Because of this, there may be a small period of downtime, but we expect the impact to be minimal. If there are any unexpected side effects or downtime, we'll keep our status page updated. Once everything has been finished, almost load times will be lower for almost every page visit on the portal. In our testing, we've found that most requests will be at least 100ms faster than previously.

As always, read on below for a complete list of a new additions, changes and bug fixes this week.

anglefire .
So where might this message be found, and any future messages for reference?
I currently have an order placed on an installer, but no system yet, so may not be able to see all messages yet.

That’s on the portal - it’s also on the app.
Probably somewhere else but not sure where!
