It looks like we have had an update to the GivEnergy app today. Since the app updated today every time I enable a timed export, it’s switches off eco-mode straight away, and the house starts pulling electric from the grid instead of the battery before the timed export has started. This happens as soon as I set a time and enable a time to export anybody else experiencing this.
Try timed discharge or timed demand if available on your model of inverter.

Eco mode automatically turns off and the house starts taking electricity from the grid instead of the battery, even though the time discharge is in the future. If I turn the time discharge off Eco mode switches itself back on this is never happened before
Timed discharge and timed export are TWO different settings. If one doesn't work, maybe the other one will.
On top of that there's a timed demand mode which is better but not available on all types of inverters (basically not on the older ones, but also firmware upgrade needed if newer hardware).
TX200 I do not have an option for time discharge or timed demand. I only have options for time to charge and timed export. It is when I try and set a timed export. The inverter automatically turns off eco-mode and the property start drawing power from the grid instead of drawing Power from the battery until the time export starts this only started to happen today after GivEnergy updated the app
Do you have these options via the cog, top right?

Kong The older gen 1 inverters didn’t implement timed discharge properly and so GivEnergy decided (a while ago) to hide it in the app. That’s why you see a different list of options
Turning timed export on should not turn Eco off, they can coexist. If the app is misbehaving then have you tried setting the timed export in the givenergy portal? You can BTW still set timed discharge there but you need to understand how it works on older equipment

My recollection was that gen 1 could not export unless eco was turned off. The app used to turn off eco when you enabled timed export. Now the app tunes it's behaviour to what hardware you have, so I don't know what you should now see.
DD TBH I don’t use the app myself, but I can see on my remote control history for this afternoon’s forced export that eco mode was turned off for the start of the discharge and then turned back on afterwards
I still have a recollection though that you could setup a forced export for a future time and it would work OK. I seem to remember that if you setup a timed discharge on a gen 1 then it would turn Eco mode off and not turn it back on again afterwards which is part of why the timed discharge option was removed from the app

For a long time, the only difference between timed discharge and timed export was the eco flag - the former immediately turned it off, and the latter left it on. Both turned on the lower-level enable-dc-discharge flag which is what did the export.

That tells me you have an external agent acting... The inverter itself would not change its own registers to perform a timed operation.
Kong this has never happened before when I’ve done a timed export.
What timescale is "before" here? The changes I'm talking about were around April last year. First the iOS app changed, and Android was a little later. See ancient threads

I do, I’m using predbat and givtcp. I was just commenting that the eco mode flag was turned off for the period of the export
geoffreycoan okay, so that does confirm that, on at least some inverters, it is necessary to turn off the eco flag to perform an export. With a dynamic agent, you can do it just for the period of the export. The GE system is static, so has to turn off eco flag ahead of time, in preparation.
Might be a regression (bug re-introduced) on the latest app.
My personal experience over the last 3 years.
Use GivEnergy phone app to look when not at home.
Use HA on phone to look when not at home - more informative than GivEnergy phone app
Use GivEnergy portal to look when home and do any inverter reboots if needed.
Use HA/Predbat to control (make it all work as I want it to.
