Bizarre battery discharge, cannot stop it

Hi All,
My givenergy Gen2 has been humming along nicely for the past 18 months with no problems. After a lovely sunny winter morning that topped up the batteries, I noticed that the battery was discharging to the grid. This should not be happening - there is no discharge setting on the inverter. Despite this, I reset all the inverter settings to default and restarted the inverter - but it continues to discharge at the maximum rate. This makes no sense, I've never seen it do this before! The only way that I can stop it is by pausing the inverter - and even still it continues to discharge at _250W. Any ideas on what could be going on?!

It looks like the inverter is trying to recalibrate, never seen it randomly do this before.

Do you have any local controls (home assistant, ...)? That is sometimes blamed for random recalibrations.

Nope, no local controls. Do have Octopus r+d charge scheduling, which has worked fairly flawlessly for past 18 months for cheap slot charging.

Have paused it for now. I guess I'll let it carry on with whatever it is doing after peak import is over this evening and see what happens.

tk2 There was a dongle firmware upgrade a while back which added CRC checks to the comms. It's just about possible that the API could also trigger a random recalibration if bits got scrambled in a particular way. There was a post quite a while back pointing out that register bit patterns were quite similar, but no chance I'd be able to find it now.

The answer was yes it was a spontaneous battery recalibration out of nowhere. It finished last night and I got a notification it was complete.
