The app has recently changed and suggests that multiple timed charging slots should be possible. However I can only add one. Is there a setting somewhere that I’m missing?
Multiple charge slots
What inverter do you have? I think the number of slots for charging/discharging is hardware locked. I have a gen 2 hybrid for example and I only get 1 charge slot and 1 discharge slot in the app.
Oddly, I have noticed a second discharge slot on the web portal under My Inverter/Remote Control, which I can write times to but does not show up in the app...
There have been lots of posts about this.
I think the app (single app for all kit) may offer lots of things, but the kit cannot actually support it.
I have a Hy Gen1 5.0 and the only way I could get multiple charge and discharge slots was
1 Octo R&D labs scheduler - worked but with flaky comms between Octo - GivEnergy - My inverter . I moved on
2 Home Assistant - worked great and could do as many automations as I could bother to set up
3 HA with Predbat - does it all for me automatically
Others on this forum us WonderWatt (i thing think this has lots of slots but may be subscription)
I see. It's not obvious to me which generation inverter we have, how do I tell?

Thank you hoggy
Our inverter is the AC Coupled/AC3.
Louiseburmeister that's a Gen 1 then. There's only ever been a Gen1 AC3 to my knowledge and I'd guess AIO replaces it.
So you are out of luck re the extra slots.
External automation may be the way forwards e.g. octopus R&D lab, WonderWatt, home assistant. Etc.
As highlighted, the memory limitations on the older inverters mean they have limited charge and discharge slots and this can’t be increased. Personally I and I think most people would gladly trade one of the two discharge slots for an extra charge slot, but it is what it is.
There was mention in one of the webcasts that Paul L did that GivEnergy were looking to provide a solution for multiple charge slots for the older inverters via the portal - i.e. you could configure multiple slots in the portal and then the portal would send them when required to the inverter in charge slot one.
This is the way all the other external services/solutions get around the 1 charge slot limitation. Would be a useful addition. Don’t know if its being progressed though

Yes, its called the Smart Tariff Beta Card,
It will auto program the slot as many times a day as needed
TheDragon (GivEnergy) thanks Paul !
@Louiseburmeister looks like this could be what you are looking for
