New user here. Have just got my inverter connected to the internet after purchasing our house. As you can see, when I first got it online it seemed to be working okay, showing all energy being generated getting exported. However, then when I attempted to update the firmware through the portal the readings suddenly switched. Now whenever something is being is exported it is being shown as imported, and vice versa. Anyone seen this before?

To add to this - the firmware update actually failed. It just gets to '90% - verifying update' each time and then seems to get stuck

NickDay I think I've read that the sense of the CT clamp that measures grid activity is controlled by an inverter register, so that might have got ripped as part of the upgrade process. Support can probably fix that. As an experiment, could physically reverse the CT clamp.

I have had only one update fail since I had my AIO with BMS5. I start the update then close the portal browser window as I find watching the percentages etc typically just looks like it has got stuck at some point. I wait for the app notification that the process has completed.
This current update did take 35 mins. If if does fail then the update option will come back on the portal (maybe not straight away).

Turning the CT clamp is the best fix as the SW swap can be reset by updates etc, but the SW option does allow it to be ‘fixed’ remotely and without having to go near the ‘electrics’ for those that don’t feel comfortable with that.

Thanks both, I have tried to run the update 3 or 4 times now and it takes a couple of hours before failing each time. I'll have a look for the CT clamp today

Switched it round and everything looks normal now - thank you both!

NickDay you'll probably have to get GivEnergy support to intervene to fix the broken AIO firmware upgrade for you. Don't forget to swap the CT clamp round again when you do get the firmware upgraded !
