Just had the EV charger installed a couple of weeks ago and found a few issues with it already - just wanted to ask if others are experiencing them.
In the above screenshot, you can see some random dips in power. I can see them on almost all nights.
Also, in the same screenshot, there is supposed to be another red line indicating "Grid Power" but that one stays at 0 permanently. Is that normal?
The biggest issue is though the fact that I can no longer set the house battery discharge power since I have installed the EV charger. The logs show this line:
User Register Message Prev value Value Sent Response Via
Server Batt Discharge Power Written Success 0 3600 3600 EV Charger Inverter Control
I don’t see frequency of the dips that you see. Just the odd one.
The portal doesn’t show anything for some days when I have charged the EV where as the app always does. Odd. What are your charts like in the mobile app?
I can control battery charge and discharge values via the app or portal. Although I have seen values revert back to 3600 previously. Why do you want to reduce discharge out of interest?

Thank you for your reply!
You are actually correct, the mobile app has a lot less dips compared to the portal
Hover your mouse on the horizontal axis and you will see the red line....Grid Power, always 0
As you can see in the picture above, in between the red lines, it's basically me trying to set a lower charge power and the charger almost immediately overriding it
What tariffs are you on? Something like Intelligent Octopus Go and charging EV off peak?
How have you set the EV charger mode, Standalone (grid) for example? Do you have a schedule set for EV charge period?

I am on IOG but using it...unintelligently as a 11:30 to 5:30 off peak
There is a schedule created for charging in the off peak period and that works OK
EV charger mode is set up as Inverter control as this was the only selling point of the GivEnergy charger - to prevent batteries from draining into the car.
Need to mention that the EV charger changes the inverter registries for battery charge power even when I turn off the option to "prevent batt discharging to EV"
