Hi all,

Noticed something strange with all this recent sun. My AIO doesn't seem to continue to discharge down to the set soc during the over night charge window any more.

Not sure when this stopped but noticed recently.

I'm on intelligent octopus (no external control) so manually tweak the soc I was to charge to overnight when necessary. Recently when weather has been stable the soc for overnight charging has been set to 20%. However the AIO is holding the soc level it has during the charge window, I swear before it would continue to discharge down to soc if there was a higher soc than required??

Any thoughts?

Have you ordered your installer done a firmware update?

I think the logic may have changed as people weren't happy with how it used to work.

I assume you are on Intelligent Octopus Go, the EV tariff, not Intelligent Octopus Flux?

You talk about a SoC level for charging and then discharging behaviour, am a bit confused!

If you program a charge in your inverter and the SoC level is higher than the charge % to, the inverter won’t do any charging, but will hold the SoC level and run off grid during the specified period.

If you want to instruct the inverter to discharge before the charge period you need to separately set this up as a discharge, but be aware that at soon as the inverter reaches the discharge % it will stop discharging and run off grid until the end of the discharge period

Just want to chime in and say that I am experiencing the same issue.

Eco Mode is Enabled
Timed Charge is set to 00:00 - 05:00, charge target = 70%

Last summer this worked as expected - between 00:00 and 05:00, if the battery was above the target charge, the house would pull from the battery and there would be no pull from the grid until the battery percentage dropped to the target charge level.

Now, the inverter pulls from the grid between 00:00 and 05:00 even if the battery level is above the target charge. Looking at the graphs it is grid only power between these hours, regardless of how full the batteries are.

There is an inverter update available but I have yet to run it. Is there somewhere we can see release notes for firmware revisions? I found this page but it looks like it hasn't been updated since August.

What system do you have?
And in Inverter/software, what is the update that you are seeing?

Rbor I have a Hybrid Inverter Gen3.

Currently it's on D0.309-A0.309, which is the latest version with release notes, and the system is saying that D0.315-A0.315 is available, but I can't find anything about it on the kb.

ip101 yep that's exactly it... Glad it's not just me.

Giving the latest AIO a few more weeks before upgrading and will see how it works then
