Export Question

Hi all,

Either I have cracked the mystery of perpetual energy creation... Or something is very wrong with my system readings...

Joking aside, is anyone else seeing this whereby export is more than generation minus consumption?

I expect it is just the inaccuracies of sampling what is going on every 10 mins and some things get out of line.

I can sometimes see this on my dashboard but it corrects if you refresh the page or it will correct in the next update cycle.

Nothing to be concerned about the dashboard is not a real time display of what is happening.

PaulTacchi As killythebid says, the data in the portal is snapshots taken from the inverter every 5 minutes, and crucially it assumes that load, generation, export etc remained constant over that 5 minute period.

This can result in some obviously wrong data.

The most accurate is to look at the difference in ‘meter total’ readings from start to end point, e.g. start to end of day. This will give you an actual kWh consumed, generated, exported, etc. Unfortunately its not what the portal shows
