I have my battery set to charge on off-peak times yet for some reason it’s charging at peak rates. For example it’s charging from the grid right now. This has been going on for the past few months. How do I stop my battery from taking charge off the grid during peak times.
For the record I have my charging times set from 00:00am to 5:20am.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a million.

Danomite is it definitely charging for a prolonged period from the grid, its not just momentary grid imports you're seeing in the app/portal?
There's several possible reasons:
you have other charge slots setup that include peak time. Go through the portal and manually set all the charge start and end times to a random time then 00:00:00 to be sure that the slot is cleared on the inverter
your clock and/or time zone is set incorrectly. In the portal account settings, check your time zone, and do a time sync from the inverter
you have something automatically starting charging. Look in the portal remote control log to see if there are things changing your charge start times when you don't expect them to be
don't just trust that the slots are off, turn them on and off again to be sure the inverter has the right details, sometimes the portal/app can get confused, or the inverter data gets corrupted.
A reset to defaults from the portal might be worth doing as well

I’ve found the logs. Doesn’t look like anything to suspect. Not sure if maybe eco mode is causing the issue. I’ll keep investigating.

If the inverter is getting the wrong reading for the grid energy it could be importing (and charging the battery) trying to balance the grid to zero (which is what ECO mode does). Is it a permanent condition or does it only happen at certain times? By looking at the portal graphs you should be able to see when the charging starts and stops.
Try turning ECO mode off and on and report to us if there is any difference. Also if you can share a screenshot from the app or portal of what is happening when it is doing this full charge it might help.
Your not on any of the Intelligent tariffs from Octopus (the ones where they can control your inverter) are you?
I’m intelligent go for EV and outgoing octopus for export.
What’s the best way to reset the system without having any issues.

Danomite Intelligent Go should only be touching the charger not the battery. Intelligent Flux does mess with the battery settings.
I've never actually had to reset the system but others on here have done "reset to defaults" in the portal. You can also do an inverter reboot from the portal which I have done several times without problems. Occasionally I have followed the power down/power up sequence that Eon gave me when I think something has got in a mess.

I have had the same problem for months, although the unplanned charges seem to be relatively small.
The Inverter Page Meter Data option has Grid to Battery data at 5 minute intervals but the values are cumulatives, so difficult to get any quick idea of the times and amounts of the unplanned charges Grid to Battery.
The Inverter Page Meter Data shows Battery OUT totals, but no breakdown - Battery to Home / Battery to Grid.
The Dashboard Page has a directly downloadable daily activity report, that shows more clearly, but at 30 minutes intervals, the KWh values of both Grid to Battery and Battery to Grid.
If you look at these you will also notice that there are much higher amounts showing as Battery to Grid, another unplanned activity.
This is mostly a times when there is not similar unplanned Grid to Battery charges, so unlikely to be any "battery smoothing" ins and outs, and potentially a direct loss of paid for Grid to Battery charges.
My set cheap rate period is 04:45 to 08:05 - part of Economy 7 Summer Time cheap rate - and this Dashboard Page report is showing the activity as 03:45 to 07:05 - part of the Economy 7 Winter Time cheap rate.
I would be interested if you have the same display problem.
The downside is that GE tech have no idea why there are these unplanned Grid to Battery / Battery to Gid movements, or why the Dashboard download is showing incorrect dates.
Not sure if this is necessarily helpful, but at least it shows this is not just a problem for you.
