No Eco Mode & Settings issue

Still a newbie & trying to master the various settings to control my inverter. I see discussions referring to the 'Eco mode' and, indeed, on the GivEnergy article on controlling modes (https://kb.givenergy.cloud/article.php?id=7&oid=2) there is an explanation (of sorts). But I do not see any Eco Mode on my Inverter settings page. My Inverter Model is: GIV-3HY-11 and the software version is: DA0.009-DD0.009-A0.009. Any advice gratefully received!

The second issue I'm having with modes is that some fail to work I get an error message that says that the inverter failed to respond and timed out when I hit the 'Submit" button. This is always the case when I try to set
a Timed Export - no matter what parameters I try (time of export, export limit, etc). But, sometimes, when I return to the setting page, I see that the setting that the inverter failed to respond to has been set... Then unsetting it becomes a hit and miss effort all over again... Again, and advice or suggestions?

Jonw If you have Android, one option might be the inverter app - the premium version can make settings locally, rather than via the cloud.

Not sure if the 3-phase inverters are fully supported, though - @Rubikcube ?

For the cloud to make a change, it sends the request and expects to get back a reply. The change might happen even if the reply fails to get through. Are there any problems with the inverter uploading to the cloud? That could indicate a weak wifi connection.

that points to poor comms for your inverter to your wifi if commands are not getting through reliably enough. Either wire your inverter with a fixed cable or try to put a wifi repeater near the inverter

Jonw I have a very old (from way back in 2022 🙂 ) GivEnergy system and I wrote an app to work with my system.

I doubt my app will work well with your new system, if at all, but you are welcome to try.

Your problem will be that all the support here and YouTube videos are for the older systems. Yours is a new design, and maybe it doesn't have an ECO mode, I don't know.

My suggestion (and this applies to all models) is NEVER press a submit button! Anything with a submit button is likely making several changes at once, and potentially some will work and some won't. On the cloud portal (use a computer or at least a laptop) go to My Inverter, top right there is a cog for remote control. That page shows you all the controls that apply to your system and you can read or change them one at a time.

Your other post showed you using less than 100W. Why do you have a three-phase system? I know almost nothing about domestic 3-phase. How are you billed? Does the meter give a reading for each phase, or is there just a combined reading? What prevents the system from exporting on one phase whilst importing on another?

Thanks [unknown] I think that explains what is happening - i.e. the cloud sends instruction to the inverter expecting a response. Odd that it always happens with the timed export setting and not with the others though, the WiFi signal to the inverter is strong though I guess it could be intermittent... I haven't got round to the inverter app but will try that soon.

and Thanks [unknown] for the suggestion (re the remote control cog). To answer some of your questions though we have a 3 phase system because that is what was recommended by the installer of our panels/inverter and battery. We do tend to draw less than 100W during the night time but, when the hot water heat pump, cooker/oven kick in we can be drawing upwards of 4Kw. We have one meter and one consumption reading.
