I frequent am finding that timed charge sessions are ignored by the inverter. I have set up 3 to take advantage of the Octopus Cosy 3 cheap rate electricity periods. It does the overnight (slot 1) but ignores the other 2. I am frequently battling this problem. It should be a simple bit of programming, I do not understand how Givenergy can mess it up so easily.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know the solution/work around?
Inverter ignoring time charge sessions.
What kit have you got
What firmware versions are you on
What tariff are you on
Have you checked all your settings in the portal. It sometimes helps to change them, hit submit and then charge them back and hit submit again and get a confirmation reply OR look in Inverter Remote Control History to check what the inverter "thinks" it is set at
Hiw are you programming the three charge periods? Manual update, Predbat, WonderWatt, Smart Tariff automation?
TonyA Assuming you are using 3 different charging slots - have you checked the target SoC on the two slots that don't work? Force the portal to read the values, or change them to something else than back to 100% (or whatever you're using), just in case the portal had got out of sync.
And if the inverter is already at the target SoC then it won't charge, it'll just hold the battery at that level but still remain in charging mode so will run the house off grid - which is what you want anyway as that's the cheaper rate
