In the Inverter menu under Timed Charge, it gives a set up for Slot 1 which I have set up for the cheap period between 02:00 - 05:00. Is it possible to set up a Slot 2 which would be useful to pre-charge the batteries on cloudy days before going into the peak rate period at 16:00?

Pete T As Steve says, it depends on what kit you have. If you have an AC-3 inverter or a Gen 1 hybrid then no, one charge and two discharge slots is all the memory that the inverter has. Newer inverters have more slots.
The only way to resolve this is to use an external scheduling service to program the single slot according to your schedule. e.g. Wonderwatt, Predbat.com, Home Assistant or some people are using the Smart Tariff card in the GivEnergy Portal

I am pretty certain that you have a single charge Timed Charge Slot available and have a Gen 1 inverter. The easiest and cheapest way to have it automatically charge multiple times a day would be to use the Smart Tariff functionality on the GivEnergy portal.
Other options include (but are not limited to) GivTCP and/or Predbat on Home Assistant, hosted PredBat, Wonder Watt, Octopus Labs.

Otherwise the app you mention can be used to do basic scheduling if you pay £10 to unlock inverter control, but the phone needs to stay on your local network all of the time.
Simple and easy solution if you have a tablet or old phone that can be left at home full time.

you have a gen 1 3.6kW hybrid inverter, it has only a single charge slot and two discharge slots and it doesn’t have enough memory to be upgraded with more slots. Why two discharge and one charge I don’t know, most people would want it the other way round, but it is what it is
