Just wondering, and hoping someone has done some digging into all the givenergy sub companies. But is the software division separate? Is that why we got the email because they knew Administrators were getting called in. To be honest I am hoping that is now the case. I would now pay to keep the software side running and accept no warranty.

Anyone looked into this? Considered it?

THALL GivEnergy Software Ltd was nearly £2 million in debt as of December 2024 (last accounts) with assets of £73,024.

Up to you whether you consider it a good bet or just flushing more cash down the toilet. Edit - obviously in your situation you'd consider it a good bet 😉

I won't be paying.

Vestas My tech issue is the EMS. Only way to locally manage it at present would be home assistant. I can do a HA but to make a HA and leave it for someone else isn't a good idea.

If development ends but maintenance continues I would pay. £5 - £10 a month to keep full remote access and API usage.

Other giv users with "normal" single inverter systems get local control so this is less of an issue for them.

DD Thank you. I am not on the socials so didn't see this had already been mentioned.

THALL I didn't realise you had EMS. That's doubly bad luck for you 🙁

Edit - I completely agree re HA. You'd have to be very lucky to get a techie as a house buyer...

THALL EMS user here also. I've pretty much resigned that if I had to sell, I'd take all the battery kit with me. I've also just set some money aside in a pot that I was putting the savings from the solar into, to install alternative kit if needs be.

THALL you can have remote access with HA as well... i don't use the app at all, its slightly tedious setup but the process is step by step explained.
