Gen 3 LV Hybrid internals

Just for you I've voided my warranty:

Inside front cover

Full unit:

Solar/battery inputs / battery board:

Upper half of battery board:

Control board:

Battery Buck boost section: guessing my dead short one of those multiple 3 pis from mostfets the other side by the Qnn numbers

Upper half of the inverter board?:

Can't see the other half of inverter board under the control board:

And a load of stuff potted into the heatsink:

Think it's going to take some work to get the battery board out to check MOSFETs

wrighar What warranty 😉 Unlucky you have some duff kit, a double whammy for you. Good luck with your repairs. And thanks for sharing the photos. Interesting to see it from the inside.

Madman, how could you, that's your 12 year warranty gone..... oh wait

(They haven't actually changed that much looking at that - just beefed up the bridge for battery charging - which i guess makes sense - the rest of the inverter isn't any more capable than Gen 1)

Wow there's a helluva lot of electrolytics cooking away in that recipe :-(

One question: I've never figured-out how to remove the front panel...

2* 3mm allens on the bottom to pull the lower brown/black cover off to expose cable terminations

3 T27 Torx (i think) under the top edge of where the lower cover went, either ones side covered by a clear sticker, centre one under a warranty void sticker.

Then there are 2 clips at the top wedge/springy that are in the top scallops

I just undid the 3 Torx and then gently prised the lower lit up to break the seal then pull the top part up/off.

I think one of these 8 MOSFET's on the under side has shorted on mine....

And a dry joint on the battery soft start relay on the Battery BMS... also needs access to the underside..
