Hello. Does anyone know how to change the setting which briefly was on the cloud dashboard as “Enable 0 Second EPS Countdown”?

I can’t find it on the GivEnergy app or dashboard and GivEnergy Local on Home Assistant doesn’t have this setting. Does GivTCP or any other interface?

This is related to my other post in this forum.

AFAIK this always used to be installer or GE only and seemed to be exposed in the new app error. EDIT - I think I read your installer is not in business. Maybe a quick call / pay to Predsupport or get another in-business installer to adopt you. https://predsupport.com/

Mouton Predsupport don't have installer/engineer access - or they certainly shouldn't anyway.

Vestas Good point. I did wonder if it was an option to appoint them as 'installer' or even if they know other ways to set it. Hence worth a call?

Mouton You can't "appoint" installers. They have to take your system over and then they are 100% responsible for it. Best of luck finding anyone stupid enough to do that given they'd be on the hook for the (now defunct) warranty.

If the original installer has gone t*ts up and given that GE are also defunct, there will be no warranty to be responsible for.

At this point, if Predsupport have installer/engineer access, it is all to the good of the customer, Giv Software and all concerned.

mrand31 The "new installer" could be pursued for any alleged damage they've "caused" & in fact I can see a few people trying that on - inverter playing up, "new installer" tries some stuff and makes it "worse" so claim compo from them.

Again I reiterate you'd have to be bloody stupid to go near any GE system you're not already responsible for - you're on a hiding to nothing!

That's what terms and conditions are for in service contracts!

I'd bet on Paul L. against any 'expert witness' in a court case concerning GE products...

P3tro In givtcp there are 3 registers that could be what you are looking for. But, i am not totally sure what they do. They are below (the numbers are my current settings.

restart_delay_time 30
inverter_countdown 0
start_countdown_timer 30

The GivLocal App shows both the "Enable EPS" and "0 Second EPS Changeover" settings. In my single AIO/Gateway combo I see the following:

AIO Inverter
Enable EPS : On
0 Second EPS Changeover: On

Gateway
Enable EPS : Off
0 Second EPS Changeover: On

I've got no idea whether attempting to change either of these settings will stick or survive an Inverter/Gateway Reboot, and I'm not about to try in case it screws my system, so the risk is yours
